Ornamentum

I recently glazed the common areas in this Boise home and was then asked to complete a hand painted design element above the fire place. With the clients input, I sketched the design first on paper and then directly on the surface. We decided on a monochromatic paint scheme as the home owner wanted the element to remain somewhat subtle. The ornamentation was painted with artist brushes using a mixture of acrylic colorants. The entire space was finally over glazed using the same mixture cut with an acrylic glaze.
